I'm in a time of transition in my life, and need to make a number of decisions. One of those is where to go with my writing.
My efforts at freelance fiction writing have been, to say the least, mixed. My comic book writing has been so successful that I'm now editing for my publisher there, in addition to writing for them. At the same time, my books have been significantly less successful. Among other things, my comics have been much more successful financially for me than my books.
I have no intention of dropping book writing, but I certainly feel the need to evaluate my priorities, especially in light of the time the editing work for the comics is taking. In a sense I'm at a crossroads, and I have to decide where I'm going.
For now I'm going to idle a bit, in hopes of sorting out my map, so to speak. From there, we'll see what happens.
Thanks for riding with me to this point.
